Healthy Summer Bucket List

Summer will be over before you know it, and you’ll want to make sure to cram in as many fun (and healthy) summertime activities before the sun starts setting right after work and the mercury drops into the single digits. Here are a few things on our summer bucket list:

  • Go berry picking
  • Visit a farmers market once a week
  • Plan meals around farmers market finds
  • Enjoy the “dog days of summer” at a local park
  • Participate in a 5K fundraiser
  • Ride bikes
  • Visit the zoo
  • Attend a Music Under the Stars event
  • Explore your favorite beach
  • Take walks after dinner
  • Have a stargazing picnic
  • Hike on local trails
  • Kayak under a full moon
  • Make and can homemade (and homegrown!) sauces and jams
  • Be a tourist in your own city
  • Take an afternoon nap in a hammock

Every summer seems to fly by and we wonder where the time went. Take the time to enjoy the rest of season. Relish the pleasant weather. Nurture yourself with the wonderful nature that surrounds us. Savor the sweet flavors of fresh veggies and fruits from local farmers markets. Be active, but don’t forget take a little time to relax, too.
